No heavy politics or religion just helping people to survive and discover thier own destiny.

  1. from my personal experience, here is a good resource that is worthy of your time.

  2. JM is incorrect as charities do employ staff - about the same number as in the NHS in the UK. Very few charities provide accommodation as this is an expensive benefit which most charities cannot afford. I believe Emmaus community managers live on site though.

The Guardian on Wednesdays and their website are the main sources of advertising for charity jobs.

  3. Good luck with that, not sure it exists

  4. charities look for volunteers! they're non-profit, most don't have the means to pay well or cover all you're expenses! have you thought about seeking another job and volunteering in your free time?

  5. Try CSV, community service volunteers. They have residential placings.

  6. Why would a charity do that for you?! they are a non-profitable organisations... surely they want to spend all the money they get on helping people that need it.. they look for volunteers! unless you want to help abroad but the most they will do is cover your accommodation and food costs, you pay for the flights and offer your help for free! If you are looking to make money out of working for a charity the best thing to do would be to street fundraise, they can up to £10 an hour.
