I want to work for the united nations. anyone know of where to find temp positions?

i am interested in relocating to nyc and would like to work for the un (i know, longshot), so i'm looking for temp agencies that might service the org. however, if you know of really good temp agencies (gov't work) in the city, please share! thanks!

Your best bet would be to contact the UN directly.  Perhaps if you look at the following site, it will provide some direction for you to take:

I do not believe that people go directly to the UN and fill out a job application THERE.  I think what happens is each nation gets some quota of employees of that nationality, so you would need to apply through our state dept.

Then I went to search engine to get you a link & found that I was somewhat misinformed ... the UN does do some direct hiring.  I had forgotten that the UN is the biggest beaurocracy in the world, which implies a lot of inefficiency.

Be careful when checking these out.
