  3. You will find very few companies that offer work for those at home like they used to 20 years ago. In the light of everything being automated, the jobs like packing and stuffing envelopes are long gone.

I suppose there are jobs if you are a whizz on your pc but I am not sure of those.

I do know that British Gas have a scheme whereby you can train to work as a customer care operator and work from home but I don't have a link. You need a specified phone line and an awesome speed for your pc.

  4. From your question I assume what you really mean is you want to earn an income by working from home.

That then leaves two avenues to explore, find some company that will pay you for working for them at home, or start your own business.

Finding a work at home job that is reliable is difficult and continuous employment may be limited, also pay is likely to be low.

But the other avenue of starting your own business will require some capital input, I have started a few businesses in my time, but my current one which I run from home cost under £200 to start and I have been doing it for the last 9 years.

So it is up to you, you will have to decide what it is that you really want, and not have some airy fairy idea of just getting a job and working from home.
