I want to work in Oz for a few years?

And what is my first step to going the Oz route??

I'm 27 and work in high-level recruitment/headhunting, no criminal record or anything like that.

If I remember correctly, one of their recruitment people moved over from the UK not long ago and offered help to others wanting to do the same.

The visa you can apply for depends on your occupation.  Check the immigration website for further info but companies have been known to sponsor immigrants for work.
