  1. Deck Attendant (keeping the open decks in order-lounge chairs etc.) - No experience required.

    Very basic knowledge of English Language required.

    Salary range: 900-1200 U.S. dollars a month, depending on the cruise line.


  2. They are the guys who clean up messes, empty ashtrays, straighten the deck seats and generally do all the grunt work on deck... they also make the least money of just about anyone on the ship when the tips are handed out.

    It's an entry level 'job' that offers the chance to move up to more important and lucerative jobs on the boat.  As a good point, however, you will have a place to live for free and food, uniforms and entertainment furnished for free... so it's not that bad of a trade off, really.
