  1. also contact the college of nurses for the province that you wish to live in to make sure that they will/can accept your credentials because there is no sense begining your process if they don't accept your licence here.

  2. I think that since you are in Australia, you only need a work permit. After if you want to stay for good you can apply for permanent residency.

  3. You should apply for a visa prior to coming to Canada although you can search for, apply for, and even be accepted into a job prior to coming over.  It is easier to receive a visa if you have a job to come to generally.  Contact the nearest Canadian Consulate or the Canadian Embassy in Canberra for information.
