  1. Your stated experience does not immediately qualify you for immigration to Canada. Immigration tends to look for people whose skills and/or knowledge are known to be in current demand in Canada, or are expected to be in the near future.

Perhaps you have more knowledge and your experience may also qualify you as a computer repair technician.  You will need to look at the main things you can do, and jobs that have requirements related to your skills.

When you submit an application for immigration to, Canada Immigration (Now called Canadian Border Services Agency)  will review your education, including any degrees you may have achieved, your work background, marital status, whether or not you have dependents, your financial status, your physical health and age. They will ask if you have relatives already in Canada and if so, is one a spouse, or other close relative who would sponsor you.  If not, then do you have friends in Canada, of which one or more is willing to sponsor you as an immigrant.

Sponsorship means that person would sign documents with Immigration that say they are accepting some financial responsibility for you, if you are granted a visa to come to Canada.

You could do on-line searches for job opportunities in Canada that match your skills.  Workopolis .ca, and Monster.ca  are good sites to look at, and see what employment opportunities are currently available.

If you find a suitable job, contact the employer directly, give your background and, if all goes well and they offer you employment, ask them for a letter confirming the job. this letter can be given to Immigration as support of your application.

Please note that you can do most of the checking on-line, by yourself.  Go to this site:      http://www.cic.gc.ca/

Take the time necessary to read through and review everything .  You can complete all the procedures yourself, if you wish, and if you meet the necessary qualifications you can obtain a work permit/visa to enter Canada entirely on your own, without any other assistance.

Some people may tell you that an immigration lawyer, or at least an immigration consultant,  is essential, but this is not true.

Read through the entire process and you will see it is fairly direct, so as long as you are capable of following the steps, doing the application work yourself,  ensuring ALL the documents you need are in order, and follow all the instructions that are provided on-line by  Immigration, you can succeed without any other assistance.  You should also note that no consultant or lawyer can guarantee success of an application.

    Good luck with your future.

  2. There is paperwork and procedures you need to follow before you can just move to Canada and work. You might want to start there first.
