I've got a Bachelor's degree in economics, but I think my dream job is in the energy field. I'd love to evaluate alternative energy technologies (sort of cost-benefit or efficiency analysis type work) or something else that is involved with alternative energy. Am I dreaming? Is there much demand for economists in this field? (What if I got a masters degree in Operations Research)

  1. CFO's work in business administration of account and the flow of money. I suggest you get a internship with some financial group. Price-water-house, Payne Weber or one of those  while you study for your masters in business administration   or economics. The flow of money is the same whether its soap or nuclear energy.

Electronics, computer-programming, nuclear energy are good subjects to study.

Chose one or two industries and ask the human resources person  for     job descriptions for several of the positions that seem interesting to you or you may actually qualify for.
