I want to work on a fishing trawler for my gap months..?

Does anyone know where I should look for jobs either here, or abroad?

  1. From everything I see on the net, the easiest way to get a trawling job is in Alaska, I don't see much on trawling in any other area. Says it pays really well though, so if you can handle the cold, that would be a good place to start.

  2. Look at the major UK fishing ports - Peterhead, Aberdeen, Hull and Grimsby, and search for jobs there. Try jobcentreplus website, and their local papers.

    You don't need to live in the area - you'll either be at sea or at home but no daily commute, and you can be at sea for several days at a a time.

    I don't know if they will take gap month people but its worth a shot
