Question:

I want to work on my defense and power. some ideas on workouts for that?

Im deployed so i have no one to help me here in iraq. The workouts i know are gettin old i need something new, thx.

  1. Spar and hit the heavy bag and run some hills. When you are working on your defense realy work on your defense


  2. As far as working on your power is concerned, I really do not know if you can change that.  As far as working on your defense is concerned, you need a sparing partner.  Then you can handicap your sparring session, depending on how good/bad the sparring partner is.  Handicapping suggestion:

    1) You throw no punches, while your sparring partner can hit you all they want/can with whatever.  (We used to call this boxing on defense.)  This is not at all dangerous for your sparring partner.  



    2) You punch but only hit your sparring partners gloves.  While your sparring partner hits you anywhere they want/can with whatever

    3) You only throw jabs.  You sparring partner hits you wherever, with whatever.

    If you find no one, you could work on your defense with shadow boxing in the mirror.
