I want to write to a someone serving in the military. where to go?

i was just thinking about how bad it must get sometimes and thought i should try to cheer someone up

awww, you are a nice and thoughtful person. My son is in basic and he thinks we don't write him enough, (which we do) but its the only link to the outside world they have and if you don't have one, I'm sure it's quite depressing.
