I want too connect my ps3 up to my broadboand by wireless?

i want to be able to connect my ps3 up to my broadband by wireless, has my ps3 got a wireless connection already built in? or do i need to buy one? if i do? which one? and where do you reccomend i get it from. thanks.

  1. Yes, PS3 is wireless enabled you can connect to any local AP's (access points) go to your PS3 browser and look at 'settings' then scroll down to the bottom can you see 'networking'? click and do a search there might be an unsecured network in your area you can use for free =P


  2. ps3 is having a phone line input so you can only connect with the phone ps3 is not too much modified to enable a wireless connection


  3. not all of them did (20gb didnt) but the rest did.

  4. all but the 20gb do and if your have that your out of luck since you cant buy wifi for it now.  Assuming you dont have the 20gb then you will ned a wireless router, I would recomend the linksys wrt54g.  Then plug your modem into the wifi 'box" via an ethernet cable and plug the wifi box into your computer via one of the out ethernet ports on it.  Then run the setup cd on your pc and put a WPA PASSWORD NOT WEP because it can be hacked in a minuet.  Then your good to go.
