I want you opinion of the Carnival Triumph?

Question

I have been on Carnival several times before, but never on the Triumph. I was reading some reviews for the ship, and they were all mixed, as they usually are. However, the bad reviews seemed extraordinarily bad. Just seeking out different opinions. Thanks.

I went on the Triumph last June with my entire family, 10 people-5 rooms. I paid for the entire trip and I was really disappointed. I have traveled on Carnival many times and will again but the Triumph did not reflect well on Carnival. First the cruise director was not very good and as such the entertainment portion of the cruise was a disaster. The ship's crew seemed disorganized, from the beginning muster, which lasted way too long, to disembarking the ship (they forgot call for departures). They let the passenger fill up in the stairwells when departing the ship at the various port stops. (Fortunately they did not have an emergency for no one would have been able to use the stairwells)The food was still great and the room steward and ship dining staff were excellent and as such salvaged the trip for me and my wife. Fortunately this was the first cruise for all my children and their significant others so they had a great time anyway, but from an experienced cruisers vantage this was not a very well organized cruise.

it was my first cruise about 6 years ago it was a good ship nothing about it stands out of being bad i loved the water slide. you know how some people are they complain about everything  most ships aren't bad only the old ones that are small and don't have as many options . but this is a big ship i think it had 3 pools
