  1. Heavy is about right, it also depends from dentist to dentist and if they are "contracted" into your Medical Aid, crowns are from R 3 000 upwards, a whole set of porcelain veneer teeth will be about R  R 20 000 - 25 000, that is when they basically cap every tooth, and you have a movie star smile. Ha ha ha, Heavy.....when ever i go to Noord Transvaal I will look for a guy with a gold front tooth......

  2. Consultation: R120 - R250

    Filling: R250+

    Crown: R300+

    Implant:R8000+

  3. Call Netcare +27(11) 301 0000

  4. It is unbelievably expensive ! Slipperman is right . I broke a crown (one of my front teeth ) And was told R3 000 ! I remembered the ad I saw in the waiting room where you have a choice of different shapes of gold that you can have fitted from R250 and up .Suddenly I got the craziest Idea of one solid gold tooth ! My dentist was shocked . He gave me a price of R900 . Needless to say I am walking around with one helluva shiny smile for next to nothing . Since then 2 of my friends went the same route .

  5. I think the price would vary depending on the amount of preperation work that needs to be done...

I recently had 1 crown fitted and it was in excess of R2500 - but there was a lot of preparation work that had to be done...

Perhaps you can contact the South African Dental Association and they may be able to assist:
