I wanted to know how long it takes for the teeth to arrange when u have braces on ?

they took out my teeth behind my canine teeth and i was wondering how long it takes for that gap to go away

  1. It depends on the situation. Braces can take from a few months to about 5 years.

    But gaps are the easiest to fix. They usually take about 1 year or 1.5 years. I had gaps and mine were fixed pretty quickly.  


  2. The time for treatment with braces varies according to how bad your teeth are. It can take anywhere from 1 to 4 years for teeth to become straight. The gaps will probably go away in a matter of months

  3. The orthodontist should have told you how long you will be wearing the appliance. I would think 1 to 2 years to fill gaps from extracted teeth and adjust all the crowding to a proper bite.

  4. People I know who had gaps and then got braces - their gaps usually went away pretty quickly. They last a few months, but it depends on the condition of the rest of your teeth as well.
