Who saw the HBO show Generation Kill? What did you think of it? Also I wanted to see what soldiers thoughts were on the show. Was this show a realistic portrayal of life for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan?

  1. its my favorite show and has a lot of funny scenes  to keep the show going on when there was no action. you should def. watch it. theres a new episode every Sunday and it you missed an episode go on HBO premium channels and you get to see all the parts to it.

  2. im not a soilder but i thought it was a pretty good show. i thought it really portrayed how the modern soilder views war. i especially liked the ending scene where they are watching the home video montage, it was a powerfull ending and a good a perfect wrap to a good show.

  3. I believe HBO had their hands full trying to make another war show after their highly acclaimed "Band Of Brothers." Generation Kill was not your normal shoot-em-up, action-all-the-time kind of show; it showed the all around life of a soldier in today's modern war. At times the show was a little boring and dragged on, but the action scenes for the most part were exciting and thrilling. The characters were interesting and funny and helped carry the show. Overall, I think the show was a hit in that it portrayed all aspects of soldier life in Iraq today.
