I wanted to use a cement block wall instead of steel to save money. how does coping work on blocks?

I am considering a diy pool i understand all that needs to be done except how would the liner attachs at the top of blocks. I see the coping on steel walls and understand how that works. could someone explain how i would do this same step on blocks thanks diane

You are not going to save money this way because of labor.  The best way is to not try to reinvent the wheel in this case, purchase the right product to start and you will no have to replace it later.
