  1. be grateful with an A, i cant believe u are comlpaining

  2. I took Science last year as an early entry and was 1 mark off. They still wouldnt send it back for remarking!

I'd ask your Biology teacher and if they are sending some back, you have a good chance of it getting sent off, but not a great chance of going up a grade. Although, it wouldnt hurt as its not very likely you'll lose a grade.

  3. absolutely zero when the examiners mark your paper and you're one or two marks off a grade they will look through your paper again to see if they can find those marks so after you've seen your grade you've gotta live with it

  4. Mmm....I would say pretty low.  My friend was borderline A* in a lot of her subjects, but she didn't get a single A*, so they obviously weren't bothered.  I think they look through the paper again after marking, and with especial scrutiny if it is near a different grade band (almost an A*, almost a B etc.). So your paper has probably been checked a couple of times already.

In saying that, my other friend was devastated when she got a C, but it was remarked and came back an A.  So if you really aren't happy with it or you need the grade, you may as well go for it.

Seriously though, an A is fantastic! And what do you really need an A* for at GCSE anyway?

    Hope this helps

  5. DREAD!!!!!!!!!

I was 3 marks from an A in GCSE science

  6. Is that 2 UMS marks? If they have checked it, then there's little chance, especially if you got full marks in coursework.

If it was a language, you'd have a better chance, as different examiners mark the speaking differently.

    Congrats on your GCSE results.
