I was ARRESTED...what happened???

Question

I was arrested when i was 18 for shoplifting at Macys. I wouldnt have gotten arresetd if it was under $200 but it was right above it. They took to my mugshot & fingerprints.

That all that happened. It happened in November of last year. Now im 18. Will it show up on my record? And why didnt i go to court oe anything?

I regret so much because i never had anything criminal offenses before. it hepled me learn my lesson & at leats i got it over with as a junenile & it ownt happen again

Im jsut confused about teh whole thing. They said that they would call & there woudl be a court hearing but they never did. Plus i had to move before i turned 18.

Is it on my record? What happened to my case. I just spent an hour in jail, got picked up & that wa sthe last of it.

There was a court appearance required,you didnt go,now theres an arrest warrant out for you for failure to appear.Courts dont "call",they mail you notices.If you were arrested,printed etc,that inst "the end of it",you were cited,which means you were ordered to appear in court.you didnt,so next time you get pulled over for a traffic stop,expect to be wearing handcuffs,again.
