I was awarded a 60,000 dollar scholarship to attend Hartwick College next year. Its a merit scholarship and I'm afraid that I may lose it. Until this semester, i had all A's and B's. At the moment, Im failing my Trig class and not doing much better in my French. Im afraid that I will lose my scholarship because of these grades. These are 2 of the hardest classes that you can take at my school, but I'm scared that my GPA wont be high enough to keep the award. Can they revoke my scholarship, even though I'm really trying to pass and do well in these classes?

  1. These are great questions for your guidance counselor, who probably knows more about this specific scholarship than a bunch of yahoos.

I suggest you talk to your teachers about what you can do to improve your grades, then make every effort to fullfill that.  That's a great scholarship, don't mess it up!

  2. Yes they can revoke it.  They gave it to you because of your GPA, therefore, they want that same grade.. Have you tried getting after school help?  Have you asked your parents if someone could tutor you in these subjects.  If you have maintained such a high GPA all through school, then you are really smart.  I think some tutoring will help you a lot.  Do it now before it's to late.  At least try and get some extra help after school from the teacher.  That's what they get paid for. at least they did it when I was in school.  Good luck,  I would hate to find out you lost it.  Be Blessed

  3. Get a tutor as soon as possible thought school, talk to your teachers about how to bring up the grades, talk to career counselor or guidance counselor about in school tutors.

Don't let yourself fall behind they could put you on acedemic probation and revoke them if you do not bring the grades up or repeat the classes with better grades.

They already gave you the scholarship but the could revoke.

  4. It is highly likely that they can revoke your scholarship.
