  1. Why not give your baby's dr a call.

  2. If your baby is fine then it's fine.  The only bad thing that would have happen was if it was lactose intolerant which would have caused lots of diarrhea.

  3. im sure if hes not sick or anything he will be fine... my mom gew up on a farm and drank cows milk her whole life...

  4. why would you leave you one month old for a whole week? call your doctor!

  5. WOW- U LEFT  ur 1 month old alone FOR A WEEK w/ a bf who would give cows milk to your baby - yikes!!

  6. You should scold him because your son could have had an allergic reaction, which at his young age could've killed him. If he's okay, and pooping normally, he should be fine, but if not, he'll probably need a dr visit and some laxatives.

  7. Okay first of all it is nobodies business why you left for a week, think about it people things happen, but of course everybody loves to cast stones.

Of course you know the baby shouldn't have cow's milk, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question.

(That was for everyone telling you cow's milk shouldn't be given to a baby)

Finally like some of the decent answers on here are saying, if your baby is doing okay now, regular bowl movements, usual amount of crying and so on, then it was okay. I'm sure you let your boyfriend have it.

I know my husband has asked why we can't give our son cow milk tons of times. It must be a guy thing. :-) Your kid will be fine, now just make a list of do's and don'ts for when boyfriend watches baby again :-)

  8. What was your bf thinking??? It sounds like he needs to go and do a basic parenting course and you need to make sure that anyone you leave your baby with knows how to look after him/her!

You can't change what has happened already and I assume your son/daughter didn't have an allergic reaction to the cow's milk.

The important thing to do now is to make sure your baby only has formula/breastmilk from now on as this should form the basis of his/her diet until 12 months. Babies shouldn't be given cow's milk as their milk drink until at least 12 months as it doesn't provide the nutrients that a growing human baby requires in this period of rapid growth and development.

  9. he will likely get an upset stomach since his system isn't really ready for cow's milk, but as long as there is no allergic reaction he should be fine... my husband was actually given cow's milk by his dad when his mom got sick and couldn't breastfeed (dad though the formula was gross) not sure how old he was but he was certainly waaaay too young... but in the end he turned out just fine, don't worry about it, just make sure BF doesn't do it again, tummy aches are no fun :)
