I was born 10/08/1968 at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, New York at 11:13 a.m. Adoptee looking for 6"1 mothe

I am looking for my birth mother who is 59 now. She was 6'1, born in USA, of polish, hungarian desent, worked as a secretary at my time of birth which was 10/08/68. She weighed around 200. The father was a graduate student from Syracuse University and didn't know of the pregnancy and the birth mother's parents didn't know until after I was surrendered. The birth mother's parents could only have one child and apparantly the birth mother was accidently shot in the stomach at a young age, but had no health problems. This is a shot in the dark as I have registeres with SOundex, NY, and other registries and even hired a P.I. The records in NY are sealed so I am going to petition the courts to open for medical reasons. I have letters from my doctors. Nothing life threatening, but it's worth a shot. I won't give up, won't let it get me down either. Any advise or does anyone may know who my bio family is. My birthmom wanted me to be named Jennifer so my adopted parents kept the name

Ooh, I am writing to wish you luck.  I was in Syracuse in those days, although I can be of no help.  I was finishing up architecture school then.  I hope for all success for you!  Praying that you not only find her but that you and she make a positive connection.

Was she from Syracuse, originally?

Have you thought about a newspaper article, concerning coverage of the shooting?

Or perhaps a police record?

Did she attend high school in Syracuse?

Some historical societies and some high schools have old high school yearbooks, which may have photos; a 6'1" female student would certainly stand out in a photo.

Age 59, probably attended high school circa 1963-1967.
