  1. idk in the US if your born there your a citizen i think its the same in Canada but im not sure

  2. In general, anyone born in Canada from 1947 onwards acquired Canadian citizenship at birth. The only exceptions concern children born to diplomats, where additional requirements apply.

If you have officially taken citizenship in another country, it is possible that (inadvertently or not) you have revoked your Canadian citizenship status - necessitating that you then go through the permanent residency process to reacquire it.

  3. you are a rare one but you ARE a Canadian citizen.

OK what I mean by that is that you have at least dual citizenship Canadian & British, I am lead to understand that the Americans don't recognise dual citizenship, that is if your Mum was still a British citizen when you were born if not then you have the right to return to the UK and live and work there without restrictions and get a British passport.

What all this means is that techncially you could be deported from a country to Canada if you broke the law there.  This has happened here in Canada a couple of years back some guy broke the law and was deported to the UK where he knew no one.

  4. if you have a canadian birth cert you certainly are entitled to citizenship

  5. Assuming your parents were not diplomats representing a foreign government at the time of your birth, you are a Canadian citizen by birth. Canada allows dual citizenship, so that means, at least from Canada's perspective, you can retain your other citizenship(s) and be a Canadian citizen.

  6. Yes, even if your were born in a Canadian hospital next to an airport on a layover between two other countries, you would be a Canadian.

  7. Yes if you were born in Canada you are a Canadian Citizen, regardless if your parents aren't.

  8. You're a citizen.
