I was born in ENGLAND (LONDON) in April 1993 , i wana know if there is a way to get british passport ?

I got my british birth certificated but i have not a british passport . i grew up in another country not in ENGLAND.

  1. Where are you a citizen?  You'd have to renounce your current citizenship and then apply for  British citizenship to obtain a passport.  Good luck, that'll take 5 years if you are lucky.  Oh and you'll have to live there too.  Just because you are born somewhere does not make you an automatic citizen.


  2. The embassy may be right! The law was changed when Margaret Thacher was prime minister. Unless either of your parents were British citizens when you were born you may not be able to claim British citizenship. The United States remains one of the only advanced countries left in the world that grants automatic citizenship at birth. i think Ireland may be anothet one but not sure. Go to the British Home office web site to find out if you qualify for British citizenship

  4. Are you not then an English citizen?  What country did you grow up in?  BTW, grown up means you have reached adulthood, likely 18 y.o.a.  You're currently 15 or so.  You probably don't have a legal right to travel unaccompanied anyway.
