  1. While your father was the attache, you would have been entitled to a dependant's passport. Since you were born to a Sudenese national, who held diplomatic rank, I do not think that you would be entitled to British citizenship.

  2. British Citizenship can be acquired in the following five ways: 1) Lex soli: By birth in the United Kingdom to a parent who is a British citizen at the time of the birth, or to a parent who is settled in the United Kingdom; 2) Lex sanguinis: By descent if one of the parents is a British citizen otherwise than by descent; 3) By naturalization; 4) By registration; and 5) By adoption.

An exception to #1, above, is if your father was an accredited diplomat in London at the time of your birth.  Since there is an issue as to what type of passport your father may have been using at the time of your birth (and an attache is not an ambassador), your best resource will be the British Foreign Ministry, which maintains the registry of foreign diplomats accredited to the Court of St. James.

  3. go to the embassy, thats how I got it

  4. no, children of ambassadors do NOT get the citizenship of the country where they are born in, they keep the citizenship of their parents...

your father should know this? or is he deceased?
