  1. HUH

  2. It sounds like she was born using donor eggs. Most fertility clinics will not give out this info.

  3. I'm confused... your mother had ivf done than gave u up for adoption?

I don't think people who are trying to help you are being stupid, we just needed more info to answer your question.  I think if the clinic is closed you're out of luck.

  4. Sorry to bear the bad news, but you will not be able to find her. They should  keep information like this, but unfortunately they do not. Your best bet is to ask your doctor if he knows where to go for this info. They have the most up to date info on how to track medical from birth parents.

  5. ivf is when they use your BIOLOGICAL mother's egg, and BIOLOGICAL fathers's sperm and fertilize the egg in a lab then place it back in the mothers uterus.  your mom now IS your biological mom unless she gave you up for adoption or something.

  6. your mother used donor eggs so she could become pregnant t and you want to trace the egg donor.

while in the uk some information is kept on record personal details would not be allowed to be disclosed and the mother that gave birth to you is your mother

  7. You should start with the clinic that your parents used to conceive you.

They might have your file with your egg donor listed.

    Your parents might also know.

You're an amazing miracle, by the way.  Your mom and dad wanted you soooooooooo badly that they took great legths to have you.  You're nothing short of a miracle.  Always, always remember that.

If the place was shut down then you may never know.  I'm sorry.  :-(  You just have to hope for the best and hope there was no medical issue.  I'm so sorry.

JenJen-That is not true.  IVF simply stands for In Vitro Fertilization.

There are plenty of ways to conceive a baby via IVF either using a donor egg, donor sperm, both, a surrogate with the bio mother's egg and bio father's sperm or any combonation of the like.

Kathleen-One thing that did come to mind.

Typically fertility centers are very particular about whose eggs they will take.  They want people who have perfect health backgrounds so that they aren't passing on any problems to the child.  I would hope that they screened your egg donor well and that you have nothing to worry about.

  8. that bio-mother isnt' attached to you.  its not like you grew in her stomach.  she probably wonders what became of her egg, but the love isn't the same as if you grew in her stomach and she gave u up for adoption. those things are anonymous, its soppose to be a no strings attach deal. you give up your egg, we give you money.

  9. You were not one of the first. The first one was born 30 years ago.

edit! OK, well I just looked it up and the first baby born by in vitro by a donor egg was Jan 4th, 2006!

My my, for a two year old... you sure do type well.
