I was born with 3 kidneys. The first four years of my life were spent in and out of hospitals with kidneys stones and other infections. I was then diagnosed with being born with three kidneys. I was then put on a pill I would have to take every day for the rest of my life but it made me very nausea. At eight I stopped taking the medicine. I no longer have problems. But now I am about to turn twenty three and havent had my kidneys checked on since I stopped the meds. I am even afraid to tell doctors about this bc I dont want to be turned into some kind of experiment for them. Should I have this checked on or should I just wait?

  1. it wouldn't hurt to check'em to see if all 3 are working properly, may be you could donate on to some one that really really needs it ...

  2. you should definiately have it checked.

it could be to late if you wait

  3. They arent gonna cut you up and experiment on you!  Geez!  Anyways let them know you have an extra one, cause some alcoholic on a dialysis machine might really need one!

  4. if you say so

  5. you should check with them and you have a choice if you want to be their "experiement" anyway, they cant force you

  6. my uncle has 3 kidneys, and he didn't know it until he was like 35. i wouldn't worry to much about it.

  7. Wow, that's awesome... not the drugs and experiments, but that you have an extra blood filter... you must be a pretty clean person inside.

...anyway, yea, just be really honest with how you feel about it and if the doctor doesn't respect you, find another.
