I was bullied so much in high school that I have so much problems trusting people?

I really don't trust people. I have a hard time getting along with people people I don't turst them and I'm hyper vigilent. how can I learn to trust people?

  1. i was like you in school and i never did get over it. when you're bullied constantly, it's just not that easy to forget the h.e.l.l. you went through. some people will tel you to just let it go...doesn't work for me.

    i'm suspicious of just about everyone...especially if they've done something nice for me...then i know something bad is going to happen.


  2. I have the same problem right now.

    I just let them come to me and earn their trust before they earn mine.

  3. Let them build trust gradually.  For instance, don't tell a potential friend your deepest darkest secrets right away.  Let them earn your trust by doing small things like meeting you at an agreed upon time or even responding to a text message.   Build the relationship from here.

    Don't dump too much too quickly on anyone or they may back away.  It signals you are needy and people will shy away.
