  1. speak to a manager, if that doesn't work ask for their Corporate telephone number and call. Speaking to a manager should work though, if you still have the receipt.

  2. No big deal - have your bank reverse the charges. Some companies when you tell them -the acknowledge they were having some problems.

  3. If it's on a credit card, you can contest the charge easily. I have done this before, and got my money back, no problem. If this is from a debit, check with your bank. I think you should have the same fraud protection as a CC but I don't know how your individual account is. Finally, if that doesn't work, I would bring my statement in to the restaurant and see if they'd kindly resolve it.

I hate it though, I have had different restaurants double charge a check more than once. I'm starting to wonder if it's really mistake or if restaurants hope you don't catch it, and they make twice as much money.

  4. talk to the manager and show your bill

  5. You might be out of luck. Doesn't hurt to try to call the manager to see what he can do for you though.

  6. they are frauds that's what.

  7. If it is a bank charge call the bank.

If it is credit card call the company,

They should be able to reverse the charges otherwise call the manager.

Maybe it would be a good idea anyway if you think it mught have been deliberate.

Before calling the manager write down all the details of what happened.

Like time, server, manner of payment. cost of the meal and why your card was used twice.

Then call them up and talk to the manager.

    Explain to him/her what happened.

Do not accuse anybody of anything but do not be apologetic either - it is your right to get your money back..

Give all details of the time, the amount, the type of payment and the server.

The servers need to give their receipts, debit printouts and credit card approvals in at the end of their shift.

There is also a printout of transactions at the end of their shift.

So they can trace it if they want.

Tell him/her that they are welcome to pick up a copy of the bank statement or pay you for sending them a fax (if you have to go somewhere to fax it).

See what reaction you get and if she/he is hemming and hawing then end your conversation with:

"I am not sure if this has ever happened before but I really would appreciate that this matter be resolved without delay.otherwise I will have no other choice than to report this incidence to  the police for fraud investigation."

You better believe they will send you your refund and pronto.
