I was cleaning my burners and now it makes a clicking sound and it smells.... but it still lites. whats wrong?

if you have the caps that go on top of burner they may not be on the correct way

you probably just didn't turn it off all the way

That's happened to me before. When you cleaned you probably knocked something out of place a little. It should be fine as long as it lights. If you start smelling gas when it ISN'T lit, though, call the gas company and have them check it out IMMEDIATELY.
