I was doing 47mph and was snapped by a speed camera in a 50 mph zone.What will happen next?

I was doing 47mph and was snapped by a speed camera in a 50mph zone. (cross my heart) A quick check of my speedometer and TomTom proved my speed to be well below the posted speed limit. My car happened to be the only car travelling in the the zone as at that time. Any advice?

You won't get a ticket; you weren't breaking the law. Calm down.

That's ok you weren't breaking the law by going that much under the speed limit maybe they just wanted your picture either of you or your ride lol but you have nothing to worry about.

Until you get a ticket, live your life and don't sweat the small stuff.  If it was a malfunction, I will assume you were not the only one that day, and they will be jumping out of their butts from backlash.

Get your speedo checked. there is a TINY and I do mean TINY chance that it may be under reading.

In 30 years of travelling I've only known it happen once and the driver had to pay up. In fairness though he had been messing with new alloys so he'd messed up the calibration.

If you haven't been doing anything like that then you should be fine.

Was the flash from the front, or in your mirror, if it was in front then it wasn't activated by you, as the flash is only meant to take the rear of the car, (for safety purposes)

Happens to me all the time. Speed cameras some times randomly flash. I've been driving down an empty road before at 1:00 AM and seen a speed camera flash with no cars in sight. I've also had one flash me as I've been in its range doing 30 in a 30 zone, nothing came of it. Relax, you have nothing to worry about pal!

It may not have been you that was snapped, but if it was you, you will get your picture and a citation for what ever you did.

You may be fined and recieve a citation, but IF you did NOTHING wrong, what are you worried about....?
