  1. I have done this before -- sad but true (one of my secret shames).  I don't think they have mold on them.  Just wash them again (on hot if you want) and make sure you dry them properly.  I have done this and have seen no ill effects.

  2. It's not mold, it's mildew.... since they aren't white and you can't bleach them, you need to add one cup of ammonia to the load along with your detergent...

  3. NO THATS WHAT I ADD TO MY DETERGENT TO GET SMELLS OUT ALL THE TIME.

  4. Yes. What you should do is rewash the clothes, and when you come to the rinse cycle, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar, that will not only remove the odors, but it will also remove mold and mildew if you are concerned about that.

  5. No, if they were left wet in the washer for 2 days, you have to rewash them. I would add 1/2 cup to 1 cup of baking soda in additon to the laundry detergent and let them soak for 30 minutes. There's no other way to make the smell go away. Good luck!

  6. Just rewash them according to the instructions for the fabrics. What you are describing is a sour smell. Thats all it is. You left your clothes in the washer and they soured. If it were mold you would be able to see tale tell signs. Just rewash them and dry them as soon as the washers finished this time. We've all done this at least once before. It no biggie.
