I was downloading a movie on my slim psp and when i got done i turned it off then turned it on and the screen?

the screen was black, the green light turns on and the light that shows if you have a memory stick in is on. WHAT TO DO:(

I dont see how downloading a movie could do this to you PSP but there might be a few things you can try. First question was your PSP hacked ?? custom firmware ?? This could be the reason to why it did this maybe it was an unstable version on the firmware. Secondly you should try googling how to unbrick a PSP this might help you it sounds like your PSP is bricked. Sometimes believe it or not the battery can have an effect if you have a friends psp try taking out your mem stick and battery and sticking in theres. I once made a pandora battery on my PSP and i broke the battery so bad that the only way i could use my psp was to buy a new battery the old one would not restore or do anyhitng just simply caused black screen.
