I was driving to scholl,stopped and put gas then drove.when i stop my car turn off.do u know wat happened?

2002 kia rio. i was at a light and it jus cutt off,so i turn it back on perfectly and it never did did this and today it started jerking alittle

You're not in that flooded area down south are you? If so there might be water in the gas that you bought.

6 year old vehicle.  When is the last time you changed the fuel filter?

When was the last tune up with new plugs and wires?

Could be any of a number of things, I'd let your mechanic have a look.
