The pants are black and very baggy and well...HUGE. There is a tie on them in the back but I can't figure out how to tie them, how to bunch all the pant parts together, how to not have the crotch hang down to my knees...

Does anyone know what I am talking about and how to wear them?

  1. Israelis do not know it, they are not from here

I think you are talking about Serwal. It is a fisherman pants

and this is how to wear it

  2. Instructions:

1, Hang pants in the fireplace, waist side 'up'

2, climb up the side of the house

3, Throw yourself down the chimney to fit snugly into pants ..Hey Presto!

You are now ready to do various Jewish activities like eat a bagel and tell mother-in- law jokes.

EDIT: 5 thumbs down for trying to bring a smile? I guess I underestimated the reserve and Y!A presence of those mother- in-laws. HMmm or was it the underhanded and dastard 'thumb down' activities of the "Popular  Peoples Front of Y!A Palestine"... all five of them.

    .

  3. its called a "sharwal" they sell them everywhere in israel. the used to have them in tie dyes and stuff.  you basically just wear them as they are .. awkward

  4. they are fisherman pants, from thailand not israel

  5. That's hilarious.

At least it has 2 places for your legs, right?

Sounds like a lot of wrapping this and that

  6. Lol, If I understand right they're meant to be like that. They're supposed to be baggy and hang down to your knees. It's the type of pants that the druze men wear (their tradition says that their messiah will be born from a man, so everyone hopes he will be the father/mother/whatever  and gives room for the child should he come...), and lately it's becoming fashionable for women in Israel, especially the more hipppyish type.

    I think they're cool.

    Good luck!

  7. One size fits all.  Made to fall off if you fall in.  I'll stick with my wranglers.

Put that in a frame , hang it on the wall and call it folk art.  LOL!

    Sunset thanks for the pics.

  8. LOL!

Can you post a pic of them? maybe then we could help you..

If it's a sharwal then you just wear them as regular pants and tie the not on the side.

  9. lol this question cracks me up...

    XD
