The problem is that the music sounds muffled and some of the background music can't be heard. The volume can be raised, but it's as if some of the music is not coming thru. I've tried other channels, but all sound muffled. I have no printed instructions. Can anyone help?

  1. You have to find the balance of the volume of your car radio and the volume on your ipod. Try turning your ipod volume up and your car radio volume down... it works for me but I have a different kind of speakers. Hope this helps!

  2. Turn on a "dead" radio station and then put the iPod on that same channel and it should work.

    Hope it works!

  3. point the adapter towards your radio

  4. go to the options on Itunes and adjust the sound

    edit>preferences>Playback

    that might work

  5. Look on the adapter and find the brand name and model. Then search the internet for that type of adapter and manual. You can likely find the manual or user directions of the device of the website of the manufacturer in a pdf format.

I have found varied manuals such as this from electronic devices, washing machine (10 years old) to a commercial survelliance system.

  6. Not all ipod radio adapters to your car are necessarily all that great. The one I used to have could only work the best when the station it was used on absolutely had nothing playing. But of course their were other problems such as the connection of the radio adapter to the ipod always had a weak connection or the signal was not strong enough to reach the atenna of the car. For your best results keep trying to play around with it and/or you should just return that one and get a new adapter. The best adapter which I use is the tape casette adapter if your car still has that one. At radioshack you can get it for less than 20 bucks.

  7. get a new adapter

  8. is the volume on the ipod up all the way? also try changing the EQ in the ipod menu

  9. sounds like a fault in the adapter possibly 1 of teh cheap 1s or it may be that if you hav put your own speakers into the car you used the standard wiring which came with it, buy some decent wiring from a hardware store as they give you low capacity wiring so you dont get maximum input/output from your speakers i had a similar problem with mine.

  10. Is this one which plays it through the radio? If that is the case, some car radios just don't work well with that technology, especially cars with the antenna on the back windscreen.  You could also live in an area where the default frequencies are already somewhat taken.

I suggest you go out and buy one of the tape converters, if you have a tape player in your car. They're reliable and easy and provide pretty good sound.

    Hope this has helped.
