to do my quilting with and it says on the package to put in dryer for 10 to 15 min and it will be thicker. I understand this but I need to know how much bigger would I need to make a 45x60 quilt if I were to use this high loft batting? Will it be similar to a comforter as far as thickness when done? Thank you for your answers.

  1. You don't use high loft batting for quilting.  If you're just planning on tieing it, it's OK.

High loft only expands in the dryer, not lengthen.
