I was going to go visit a friend in hartford?

I know the greyhound goes there but what about train?? I live in bridgeport so what train would i have to take? I looked on the metro north website and there are no trains to Hartford. Someone please help

If you do a search based just on the directions - bridgeport, ct to hartford, ct there's a wilkpedia website on Metro North but it looks like you might have to do a transfer in New Haven, ct and take the train that goes to springfield/boston. Hartford is on the way. That part of the service is Amtrak.
