  3. You may not need a warrant, but you might need to get a city permit.

You will be doing more damage TO YOURSELF if you cause any acts of vengeance.  The consequences that your former boss might incur are much less than those that you could find yourself in, so just avoid the entire risk.  Separate yourself entirely from the situation.  Don't talk to your former co-workers if at all possible.  Go on with a new life.
