  1. That client... is a shitbird. Make him sign some agreement stuffs before you finish the rest of the work or else he can like backfire this on you? saying you refused to finish it and he could pretend that he paid you. There are lieng mofuckin b******s out there get dat **** on paper

  2. he doesn't have to pay you on something you haven't completed. I would have gotten a contract on the extra work... but since u haven't completed the orignal job you haven't done the service... so no money.

  3. Did you file a preliminary notice on the job? That would be needed.

  4. Let's take inventory here:

    1.  Did work based on a verbal agreement.

    2.  Doesn't know how liens work.

    3.  Thinks he can get legal advice on Yahoo Answers.

You need to re-think contracting, or take some time to learn some business basics.  Otherwise, this will be just one of many painful lessons on what NOT to do.

  5. No..you need a contract with his signature to go to court or small claims.

Then you go to his house and start dismantling what you made.
