  1. It depends entirely on the school district, as each makes their own policies in this regard. If you are serious about entering high school as a sophomore, preparing a detailed transcript of your freshmen accomplishments could make all the difference in the world.

There are many helpful websites on transcript preparation and many different types of transcripts. You should find the link below helpful in making your preparations.

My question to is is this... With all the educational freedom afforded to homeschoolers, why on earth would you want to go back to the public school?

Most students who return to high school, do so for social reasons. If that is the case. Spending your time making teen connections might be more valuable to you that spending the time preparing transcripts for reentry into the public school system.

  2. They can test you to see if you can pass 9th grade.

  3. i was also home schooled in 9th grade. i was able to resume my schooling as a 10th grader, but i did have to take some extra courses that my classmates had taken the year before, for example, physical education.

  4. It all depends on your school district.  Each district is locally governed and overseen by the state, so there are no "hard and fast" rules about it.  Each school makes their own policies where this is concerned.

Some will test you, some will accept a homeschool transcript, and some will just place you in 9th even if you've got 16 credits under your belt.  The only way to find out is to call the school and see.

    Good luck!
