  1. nope you were not sentenced or convicted.   You have to go to a trial to be convicted and then senteced to incarceration.

  3. Yes you were incarcerated..........jail and prison are completely different places.  Prison is where you go AFTER you are found guilty of charges and ordered to serve time.

    If you were in a holding cell for anything it means you were arrested and booked for a charge or charges and released on bail shortly after because someone paid to get your butt out of jail.  If you were in prison you couldn't be "bailed out"  you'd be stuck serving your time wether you liked it or not.

  8. simply put they put cuffs on you and brought you to jail then yes you were. prison is just a place where you serve your time.
