  1. Trying to meet with you or the other party?  If it is you, do not ignore the request to "meet up".  This is normal. No red flags here that I can see.

  2. To meet up with you?  Has he made attempts?  As in phone calls?  I don't know where you are but if you're not at fault, then the other person will pay your deductible & you should be entitled to some $$$.  Possibly the adjuster is being honest; possibly they are hoping you'll just get lost & forget the $$$.

Just take the initiative to talk 'live' on the phone (no messages to leave), book a date to go there & make sure to confirm the morning of so they can't slip out....

All is likely fine but if you take the initiative, you'll know for sure.

  3. Perfectly normal. Don't you WANT an adjuster to hurry up and process your claim?? Give him a chance -- you just may find out that everything is very simple and clear. You do NOT need to hire a lawyer yet. The second you do you are in a whole new ball game and I assure you that the lawyer will be the only one that gets any money.

  4. This is common.  The adjuster wants to maintain a "direct deal" relationship with you.   She wants to explain how the claims process works.  You do not have to do this in person, if you are uncomfortable with it, but I used to "meet-up" with the claimant at their home or a public place.

You may be asked to sign a medical release so she can secure all of the medical records related to this incident.  You can decline this as well, but you will have to do all of the leg work.   If you do not provide the adjuster with all of the medical reports, lost wages etc, she cannot properly evaluate your claim for settlement once you are ready to settle.

The adjuster will not try to settle the claim if you are still treating.   Just cooperate, and let the adjuster handle the claim.  Remember this is what she does for a living.  She does not care if you retain counsel.   The case value does not go up just because you get an attorney.
