I was invited to a tea party in the morning. What do I wear?

just wear what is comfortable to you. nothing fancy , you can wear jeans, and a nice top. have fun.

This would depend a good deal on the social status of the person inviting you.  If it is with casual friends, then you should wear something light and perhaps a little vivid.  Low comfortable shoe, etc.  If it is of a higher social gathering then you should upscale your dress accordingly.  Never go to a tea party formally dressed and never, never, never wear jeans and a tee.

A knee length dress w/  slight sleeve. If it is out doors  a dashing sun hat.

Definitely not jeans! But it depends on who invited you and what it's for. If it a gathering with friends, casual clothing...khaki type pants and a dressy sweater. If it is a high society type tea... I would suggest a dress or pant suit.
