One called me a diseased w***e. The other said that he was going to tell everyone at my job and "out" me. As you can see..there were good reasons for me to break up with these guys. At least I was honest and told them both! Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else?

  1. guys are pricks...u probabaly actually got it from one of them anyway. if they start making comments about u at work get legal help. if u dont know much about herpes probably 30% of people will test positive to it if serology is done. Most wont have had ulcers or symptoms but can still pass it on or will have outbreaks later on in life.eg when unwell or their immune system is down.

  2. i found out i had herpes in may and told my s*x partners and some didnt want to speak to me ( they werent infected) and some appreciate my honesty and still wanted to be with me even though they werent infected. i just wish that the ppl that dont wanna talk to me anymore just took time to realize that i didnt have to tell them and i could of passed it to them and appreciate my honesty.

  3. you poor thing :(

these guys are horrible how can you be sure thou it was probly one of them that had it??

keep your chin up...;no this hasnt happend to me but it can happen to anyone

  4. Well, they are probably upset cuz you diseased them.  They probably think warning all the other guys will protect them.

Paris Hilton has it and she still gets busy with a lot of guys.

  5. Keep your head up!

The responsible thing is that you told these guys. You can have herpes and unknowingly spread it.  Research shows it can lie within your body for years with no symptoms.  Everyone's body reacts different.  These guys need to get tested.  These guys are ignorant and need to educate themselves on it.  You can still lead a normal healthy life.  Do not be sad about it.  Continue being honest.

  6. I agree with both of those men. I would've said the same thing to you.

  7. If you might have given them herpes, can you blame them for being pissed off? I don't pity you at all.

  8. This topic really needs to be less taboo.  Herpes is the most common STD out there and no one is talking about it.  If we all talked more freely and openly about it (like pimples) then I think everyone would

    a. be more cautious

    b. be more educated

    c. be more honest about our sexuality

This is real.  And it's tricky too.  The virus can go undetected for such a long time.

People need to accept this as real.  And we need to accept this in a mature way, crying and screaming and blaming is not going to cure herpes.  But honesty and good management will help from spreading the virus.

The next time you walk outside count five people, One of them has herpes (and maybe doesn't know it).  Don't forget to count yourself

  9. nope never happened to me...of course i dont sleep with multiple people

  10. I am sorry that happened to you.  Those guys sound like total jerks.

I am married and unfortunately I did not know of my diagnosis when I got married.  I have been very blessed that my husband has been very understanding and supportive during my diagnosis.  And also very fortunate that he has not contracted the virus.

    Good Luck to You.

I hope you will meet someone who is understanding and mature about your diagnosis.

As for the two losers, you are certainly better off without people like that in your life.

  11. no lol 'cuz my bf at the time def had that **** (im positive he gave it to me). i would have outed his punk *** too. seriously, they probably have it too. u can get back at them as well

  12. Here are some stats and facts that might make you feel better:

Over 50% of Americans have HSV 2.

Most don't know it, because they have gone throughout life without an outbreak (and may never have one).

HSV 2 (yes, genital herpes) can now be spread by mouth-to-mouth contact.  Even someone who has never had genital contact could have HSV 2.

HSV 2 (and 1) can easily be treated with a 10 day dose of Valtrex.

These men are clearly uneducated.  For all they know, they may have given you the disease.
