Question:

I was just offered Tim Lincecum for Chad Billingsley. Should I accept this trade?

It seems pretty even at first glance, but then my natural suspicion kicked in and I'm wondering why this owner would be offering me Lincecum when he is having such a good year. Then I thought, oh yeah, he's on a crappy team that might not give him that many second half wins. Billingsley does have a slightly better offense behind him. With that said, do you think I should accept?

  1. The giants are going to be careful with Lincecums innings. He is the better pitcher but he might be shut down in September.

  2. You should obviously accept, when Lincecum is pitching for the Giants, there offense looks "good" because Lincecum can shut the other team down and all the Giants need to win is get one more run, and any team can do that, if you are in a keeper league, definetly accept it because Lincecum is Superstar upcoming.

  3. I'd rather have Lincecum. Billingsley is great too, but Lincecum leads the league in Ks, is an All-Star, and hasn't given up big innings. You could say Billingsley has a better O behind him, but you can't chase wins-- Linecum will get plenty of them, to be sure, even with a weak offense behind him.
