  1. Pamplona - Madrid

    Madrid - Paris

    Paris - Vienna

    Vienna - Interlaken

Probably take 2-3 days, but hey, if you're travelling by rail, you've got time to spare. Enjoy

  2. Well you wouldn't be able to take one train for this journey - you'd have to change trains several times.

    23 hours: Pamplona - Hendaye - 2 hours 7 minutes; Hendaye - Paris Montparnasse - 5 hours 34 minutes; Paris Montparnasse - Paris Est - allow 50 minutes; Paris Est - Karlsruhe (sleeper) 6 hours 51 minutes; Karlsruhe - Basel - 1 hour 51 minutes; Basel - Interlaken Ost - 1 hour 56 minutes.

    22 hours 25 minutes: Pamplona - Zaragoza - 2 hours 8 minutes; Zaragoza - Barcelona - 1 hour 59 minutes; Barcelona - Cerbere - 2 hours 42 minutes; Cerbere - Mulhouse (couchette) - 9 hours 41 minutes; Mulhouse - Basel - 32 minutes; Basel - Interlaken Ost - 1 hour 56 minutes.

EDIT: Crimson_rambler: Why would you go the wrong direction completely from Pamplona, to Madrid, and then travel the whole length of Austria and half the length of Switzerland too far and then come back by travelling via Vienna? You do know where Pamplona and Interlaken are, I hope?
