  1. my 2 favourite songs, we are having sweet child of mine as a dance with me my "hubby" and our son. hes 1 but loves to dance, and november rain as just a random dance

  2. november rain. not sweet child. idk a little to rockish for weddings.

  3. My advice would have been to skip November Rain - glad you came to your senses!

Sweet Child O' Mine is a great love song.  But I don't know how danceable it is.  I'm using a string quartet version (no lyrics) for my walk down the aisle.

I'm going to go with "Think About You" - from Appetite For Destruction - as my dance-able Gn'R song.

  4. absolutely - Sweet child to get everyone up and Nov Rain as the segue to a slow set...

  5. Yes.

    :]

As long as they are close to you and your spouse, they are good songs that I am sure will stir up a few teary-eyes.

  6. i like both, so yea, i would cry if i was in that wedding

  7. No. Cheese.

  8. h**l yeah.

    do it.

  9. Sweet child of mine is an awsome song but i dont think it would be good too play in a wedding but thats just my opinion

  10. Romantic and lovely? Yes, they're good songs.

Except, you may want to rethink November Rain.

    Maybe Patience?

  11. yes!

  12. NO! read the fricking lyrics.

  13. Hi, I would say yes to both!

You should check out the Spin Doctors "Here Comes the Bride" too.

My daughter played that tune during the wedding party's entrance to the reception.... very fun tune!!

    Best wishes to you!!

  14. during *what* wedding dances are you referring to??

  15. Yeah, I can just hear Axel Rose keening 'Ai, ai, ai, ai, ai, ai, ai' while people in gowns and tuxedos spin about, can't you?

  16. wicked songs!

  17. why not?

  18. nah, play some mika, or numa numa!!

there very good, my other sister got married with numa numa!!

  19. Sweet Child O Mine is often used for the father/daughter and mother/son dance.  Both the Guns N Roses and Cheryl Crow version are a popular choice.

You could probably have November Rain played at the reception but it is not a good choice for any of the special dances since the lyrics really do not fit.  Definitely not a first dance song.
