I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to get into jumping (horse)?

I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to get into the jumping circuit. I have always wanted to jump but not sure how to get involved. I live in Colorado is there anything like that out here?

1st you need a horse, then some jodjurs and riding boots... maybe a saddle will be happy......good luck in your search...

The closest big show circut is probably the west coast to event or do show jumping at. I don't really know of any events out there besides stuff at the Colorado Horse park. If you're really serious about getting into the circut I suggest you move to the east coast around Virginia area and follow th circut to Florida in the winter. Otherwise my advice to you would be to look on the web for training barns near you specifying in Eventing, Show Jumping, or Hunters depending on what you want to do.

While the circut isn't really in Colorado you should be able to find a barn to teach you how to jump so you can see if you like it.

You need to be more specific...Are you talking Hunters or Jumpers. Either one of those can be found out here. I live in Colorado also. Do you have your own horse or are you looking for lessons? Are you talking about Grand Prix jumpers or what? As I said more info would be helpful. Anyways there are a lot of places out here that offer lessons in jumping and there are quit a few shows such A and B rated Hunter and Jumper shows along with schooling shows. Hope this helps a little. If you can be specific I may be able to help more.
