I was just wondering is Light better than L?

In terms of sheer intelligence, I believe that L is smarter. He managed to outwit, and look through most of Light's ploys. Lets say that Light had the Death Note, but Ryuk was not there. With Ryuk there it was like Light had an extra sense. Light in a way had an unfair advantage. L is better than Light. That is how I see it anyway.

Well, he has to be if he was able to beat him. L died so Light won, so that means he is better.

... by the way, what do you mean "sorry i mess up"....lol

Forget what I said!! I like the answer above me more. He is right, mello was right, because if light didn't have the death note, he would be no match for L, lol. How come I didn't think of that first....

I feel dumb....

in terms of IQ/brilliance, there pretty much equal. but L is a little smarter. Also Mello says in the book Death Note: Another Note that w/o the death note Light would be no match for L
